The Motorola Edge+ is the company’s first flagship in a long time, but despite that the company’s been taking their time launching it in countries worldwide. Now we know that it’s going to launch in India on May 19, courtesy of Flipkart, who have set up a page for the device.
As you’d expect from a flagship device, the Motorola Edge+ comes with all the standard top of the line specs. These include a Snapdragon 865 SoC, 12GB RAM, 256GB of internal storage, a 6.7-inch FullHD+ Endless Edge OLED display with a fingerprint scanner under it and 5G support.
For cameras, we’ve got a pretty good 108MP main camera, along with a 16MP ultrawide sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and 3D ToF sensors. There’s also a hole punch 25MP selfie snapper too. Keeping everything running is a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports 18W wired and 15W wireless charging. It’s a very complete device, and it has almost everything you’d expect from a flagship.
There are even some nice extras you wouldn’t expect to see in flagships these days. For example, the top of the device still features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that you sadly won’t find on almost half of the flagship devices available on the market these days.
We aren’t sure if the company plans to release the standard Motorola Edge at the same time in India, though it’s unlikely considering the lack of marketing for it. It’s possible we’ll see it a later date though.
How well the Motorola Edge+ will do in India remains to be seen however. It’s a very pricey device, costing $999 in most countries, and the market is extremely competitive when it comes to pricing at the moment. We’ll keep you updated here on Giztop.com regarding any new developments.
