After a bunch of leaks and rumors, Motorola scheduled the launch of two new budget smartphones in February of this year. Well, today, the Lenovo-owned smartphone giant has finally announced the two show stoppers, the Moto G30 and Moto G10 in the European markets. The two smartphones ship with entry-level chipsets from none other than Snapdragon and have up to 90Hz high refresh rate panels.
The Motorola G30 is the superior smartphone amongst the two and it comes for a price tag of EUR 179.99(~$217). It has two color options to choose from – Phantom Black and Pastel Sky.
The Motorola G10 is purely a budget-segment offering priced at EUR 149.99(~$182). The device comes in Aurora Grey and Iridescent Pearl color options. Both the smartphones will be available to purchase by the end of this month.
Motorola G30 Specifications and Highlights
Since the Motorola G30 is a higher-end device, let’s take a look at its internals first. The smartphone comes with a polycarbonate body with a standard Motorola design. It has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1600 x 720 pixels i.e: HD+ resolution. Motorola has provided a water-drop notch screen with a 90Hz screen refresh rate.
At the front, it has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfie shots, and at the rear lies a vertical camera module. It is a Quad-rear camera setup with 64-megapixel primary lens. It is followed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and lastly a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit. It has an LED flashlight beside the camera lenses.

Under the hood, it powers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card slot. It is to be noted that it is a hybrid slot meaning that the dual-SIM usage is not compromised for additional storage. It has a 5,000mAh big battery with 20W fast charging support. The battery can be tanked via the USB Type-C port present at the bottom.
Aside from this, the phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock option for added security. Motorola has also made the device water-resistant, thanks to the IP52 rating. The 4G handset has Bluetooth v5.0 and Wi-Fi support and doesn’t miss the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Motorola G10 Specifications and Highlights
The Motorola G10 is built out of the same polycarbonate material packing a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. It also has an HD+ resolution with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. It is a water-drop notch screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It features a stripe design at the back of the phone and has quite a bit of bottom bezel but still offers an intuitive viewing experience.

As for cameras, it has a Quad-rear camera system with a 48-megapixel primary lens and the rest of the lenses same as the Moto G30. At the front, it sports a single camera for selfie portraits.
Fueling thins up is the Snapdragon 460 octa-core SoC which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Again it is a hybrid slot just like the sibling Moto G30. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging technology. It has an IP52 water-resistant rating and features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port at the bottom.
