Mi Smart Band 5 With 11 Sports Modes and Fresh Band Faces Launched In India For ₹2,499($34)

    Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Smart Band 5 Earlier this year in the Chinese market and later it went global with the European launch. Now, the much-awaited fitness wearable has made its way to the Indian market.

    Mi Smart Band 5 Highlights and Features

    The Mi Smart Band 5 comes with a larger 1.1-inch AMOLED display with 450 nits of brightness. It is larger as compared to the Mi Band 4’s 0.95-inch display. The display on the Band 5 is a color touch screen with tons of watch/band faces. This time around the Band comes with customizable watch faces which can be edited from the native app and even from the band itself.

    It comes with 11 sports modes including indoor running, outdoor running, walking, indoor cycling, indoor swimming, rope skipping, yoga, indoor riding, rowing machine, freestyle exercise, and elliptical machine. The highlighting feature of the Band is its Pernal Activity Intelligence and Menstrual Cycle Tracking.

    It also has continuous Heart Rate Monitoring, Sleep Tracking, and features a water-resistance rating. It packs a 125mAh battery which is said to provide up to 3 weeks of usage on a single charge. The battery can be charged with the magnetic charger bundled with the band.

    The smart band can show call notification, text messages, notifications from third-party apps like Whatsapp, Instagram, and Twitter. It has a built-in microphone for voice commands and can be paired with iPhones running iOS 10 and above and Android phones running Android 5 and above.

    Pricing, Colors, and Availability

    In terms of the pricing, the Mi Smart Band 5 is priced at ₹2,499(~$34) and will be available in Black, Navy Blue, Orange, Purple, and Teal colors. The first sale is scheduled for October 1 at 12 PM IST.
