Xiaomi unveiled the innovative Mi Mix Alpha back in 2019, since then, there have been scarce deets about the successor. Now, a new leak reveals that a Xiaomi official confirmed the presence of the successor to the 2019’s Alpha.
Back in 2019, the Mi Mix Alpha from Xiaomi created a buzz around the smartphone industry with its impeccable wrap-around design and alluring looks. It bagged a whopping 108-megapixel sensor with flagship-grade hardware. Now, a couple of images from Digital Chat Station showcases the unboxed Mi Mi Alpha.
After some discussion, it was tipped that those were some old images of the device and in a response, it was reported that the unboxing images were provided by a Xiaomi employee.
The employee suggests that the successor will embrace a new type of wrap-around display. It is also touted to debut with updated internals. He doesn’t tip anything else but a past rumor reports that the Mi Mix Alpha 2020 or the successor could arrive with the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC.
Other than this, Xiaomi has also patented a new type of wrap-around display that the company plans to implement in some future Xiaomi smartphone. We aren’t sure, but Mix Alpha 2020 could feature the same display.
