MediaTek posts highest single-quarter revenue in 4 years

According to Taiwan media reports, MediaTek recently announced its June results, with revenue reaching NT$25.279 billion, a month-on-month increase of 16% and a year-on-year increase of 21%, a record high in 45 months.

The overall revenue in the second quarter was NT$67.6 billion, an increase of 11% from the previous month and an increase of 9.8% from the same period last year, the highest in four years. Throughout the first half of the year, revenue reached NT$128.466 billion, an increase of 12.4% year-on-year.

5G chips have become an important factor in MediaTek’s continued performance. MediaTek has launched high-end series Dimensity 1000, Dimensity 1000L and Dimensity 1000+. On the mid-range end, we have the Dimensity 800 and Dimensity 820.

Industry sources pointed out that the Dimensity 800 series was the main driver of shipment growth this quarter. It is expected that this quarter, MediaTek will launch an entry-level Tianji 600 chip, which will become the main force for 5G chip shipments in the fourth quarter.
