LG Velvet that launched in the US recently has now arrived in the European market. Interestingly, the model that launched in the other markets was the 5G-enabled model and the one that LG just tossed in the European market is the LG Velvet 4G.
The LG Velvet 4G is significantly different from the Velvet 5G. The 5G model rocks a Snapdragon 765G mid-range SoC, whereas, the 4G model powers the old Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via a MicroSD card.
The rest of its specs are the same as the 5G model. It features a large 6.8-inch curved AMOLED panel with a Full-HD+ resolution and narrow bezels. It is a water-drop notch display with a taller aspect ratio. It has a triple camera system that comprises of a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth unit. It only has a 16-megapixel single camera at the front.
It houses a 4,3000mAh battery with wireless charging support. It can also be charged via the USB Type-C port at the bottom. The smartphone flows on LG’s custom skin based on the latest Android 10.
The smartphone is priced at EUR 500(~$586) for the sole 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. There are no details on what all colors are available in Europe but once more details are out, we’ll update the article.
