In July, LG released the new UltraGear series 4K gaming monitor (model 27GN950), with 4K/144Hz, and a high color gamut at 98% DCI-P3 color gamut. Now the monitor is on sale with a pretty chunky price tag of 10,999 yuan, or about $1576.
The LG 27GN950 monitor is the first product with a “wing” badge in the LG UltraGear series of monitors. It features a 27-inch 4K Ultra HD Nano IPS display that apparently goes up to 400 nits of brightness.

It has a DCI-P3 98% colour gamut, a refresh rate of 144Hz, a 1ms response time and HDR 600. It’s compatible with Nvidia G-Sync, and the stand allows you to adjust its height, tilt it or swivel it. For connectivity, it has 2 HDMI ports, and a few USB 3.0 ports.
The LG UltraGear is overall a very excellent gaming monitor, though it’s definitely reflected in its massive price tag. It’s not going to be a monitor for everyone, but we’re looking forward to seeing reviews and feedback for it soon.
