Lava this week launched the Lava Z66 smartphone in the Indian market. Earlier, the smartphone made a few rounds in the rumor mill and it is finally here with modern design and a big battery. Some of its highlights are water-drop notch display, a total of three cameras, and a 3,950mAh battery.
The Lava Z66 comes in a sole variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage priced at INR 7,777(~$104). It comes in three vibrant color variants – the Berry Red, Marine Blue, and Midnight Blue. The smartphone is already up in the sale on Flipkart and Amazon shopping sites.
The smartphone sports a 6.08-inch display with an HD+ resolution. It is a water-drop notch panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 283 pixels per inch. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel selfie camera and features a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual rear camera array. The rear camera comes with HDR and Night mode and also has the ability to record slow-motion and Time-lapse videos.
Under the hood, there is an unknown octa-core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Lava has also provided a microSD card slot for additional storage. The highlight of the device is the big 3,950mAh battery which may not seem anything unique but it is new for Lava smartphones. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also has Face unlock for added security. The device runs on Android 10 and has Lava’s custom UI on top of it.
