Another day, another teaser straight from iQOO about their upcoming flagship device, the iQOO Z1. Today, the company is teasing the device’s dual sim feature, or more specifically the fact that both sim slots support 5G connectivity.
5G support for smartphones has been a fairly recent development, but the adoption rate has been incredibly quick. Despite that, we rarely ever hear about 5G support on dual sim phones, and iQOO are looking to change that.
While the phone’s launch is getting near, it’s good to see iQOO keeping the energy and excitement alive with a consistent stream of news. Since the announcement, we’ve gotten a launch date and battery details, and we’re expecting to see more soon.
From the leak and rumor mill on the other hand, we’ve heard reports that the iQOO Z1 6GB + 128GB will start at 2498 yuan, or about $353, which is pretty good. There’s going to be a sizable 4500mAh battery keeping everything running, as well as 44W fast charging.
The handset will also allegedly come with 5G UltraSave network power-saving technology and HyperEngine. HyperEngine is MediaTek’s latest advancement in chipsets to give users the best gaming experience possible.
Of course, these are just speculation and rumors. If we’re going to find out more, we’ll have to wait for more news from iQOO themsevles, or wait for the official launch on May 19. We’re extremely eager to hear more, so we can’t wait.
