iQOO have officially announced on Weibo that their upcoming iQOO Z1 5G smartphone will be released on May 19. Vivo’s official website has also begun to feature the device, as well as its specifications and features.
The iQOO Z1 will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC, as well as 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a 144hz display and 44w fast charging on board. We’ve already known about most of these specifications for a while now, but it’s nice to get official confirmation.
Recently, it has been reported that the iQOO Z1 6GB + 128GB starts at 2,498 yuan and will be equipped with MediaTek Tianji 1000+ processor for the first time. It will also be equipped with a 44W flash charge.
The 144 Hz refresh rate was also mentioned by vivo, and it really shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how iQOO are meant to be vivo’s gaming subsection, so a high rate is pretty much expected. It’ll also be a good showcase for the Dimensity 1000+’s performance and power efficiency, especially compared to their previous device, the iQOO Neo 3.
The handset will also come with 5G UltraSave network power-saving technology and HyperEngine. HyperEngine is MediaTek’s latest advancement in chipsets to give users the best gaming experience possible.
No pricing information has been released, but a leaked promo poster revealed the price of the 6/128 GB model, which will set you back at CNY2,498 ($350/€325). For more about the upcoming iQOO Z1, stay tuned on Giztop.com.
