Last week, iQOO launched its second budget smartphone in China dubbed iQOO U1. The smartphone comes with mid-range specs and modern design at a budget price. Starting today, the smartphone will go on sale in China.
The iQOO U1 is a 4G smartphone that comes with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is a hole-punch panel with an FHD+ resolution and a 90.72% screen-to-body ratio.
It has a triple camera array with 48-megapixel primary camera, 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a third 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit. At the front, it has an 8-megapixel single camera for selfies.
Under the roof, it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 4,500mAh battery with an 18W fast charging solution. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and comes with a face unlock for security. It runs on iQOO’s custom OS based on Android 10 out of the box.
The iQOO U1 starts at CNY 1,198(~$171) for the base 6GB + 64GB variant, CNY 1,398(~$200) for the 6GB + 128GB variant, and CNY 1,598(~$228) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. It is available in three colorways – the Secret Black, Sunny Frost White, and Star Blue.
