iQOO is planning for a new rebranded flagship phone in the Chinese market. The iQOO Neo5 that launched earlier this year is getting rebadged to iQOO Neo5 Life. The Chinese phone maker on Tuesday confirmed the launch date of the phone to be May 24.
iQOO Neo5 Life Poster Highlights and Specifications
While it is rumored to be a spinoff of the Neo5, the shared poster reveals one of its key specs. The device is touted to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC clocked at 3.2GHz.
The iQOO Neo5 Life is said to be a gap filler for the budget segment in the region. The phone will be more affordable as it will go with the side-mounted scanner instead of the in-display fingerprint solution as seen on the Neo5. As it will be a side-facing scanner, rumors suggest that it will have an inferior 6.62-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.
The phone is expected to feature a 48MP triple camera system at the rear and a single-selfie camera setup. The device was recently spotted packing a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. Do note that the Neo5 has a better 66W fast charging support.
With the launch right on the corner, we expect to learn about its pricing in the coming days. Once we get more information on the same, we’ll update with a fresh article.
