Huawei on Wednesday unveiled a new budget smartphone dubbed Y7a in select Asian and Latin American markets. The phone is nothing but a recently launched Huawei P Smart 2021 phone’s rebranded version. Some of its highlights are a punch-hole display, quadruple cameras, and Kirin SoC.

The Huawei Y7a comes in bigger chassis sporting a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display. It is an HD+ resolution screen with thin bezels. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. It has quad-rear cameras with a 48-megapixel primary lens, another 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth shots.

Under the hood, the device fuels the in-house Kitin 710A SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage depending upon the region. The phone is backed up by a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support via the USB Type-C port.
The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack for music and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It Huawei’s custom skin based on the latest Android OS. As of now, only the Malaysian pricing has been revealed and the device will cost you RM 799(~$193) for the 128GB variant. It can be grabbed in three colors – Midnight Black, Blush Gold, and Crush Green.
