Huawei on Tuesday launched its MatePad T8 tablet in the Indian market. The tablet device was first launched in the company’s home-town China at a budget price and in India too it will cost just INR 9,999(~$135).
There are two versions, Wi-Fi only is priced at INR 9,999(~$135), and the LTE version for INR 10,999(~$150). It comes in the sole Black color variant and is already available for pre-order. The device will go in an open sale from September 15 in the country.
The Huawei MatePad T8 has a compact 8-inch form factor and the LCD screen has a resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of 80%. It has a pixel density of 189 pixels per inch.
It powers the MediaTek MT8768 SoC that comes with an IMG G38320 650 graphics processing unit. It is bundled with 2GB of RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via the microSD slot. The all-metal device has a 5-megapixel rear camera setup and a 2-megapixel single camera at the front. There is a 5,100mAh battery claimed to provide 12 hours of entertainment.
