At the Huawei All-Scenario Smart Life New Product Launch Conference this afternoon, the company released the Huawei Children’s Watch 4X, featuring a brand new set of features including water-resistance and improved GPS performance.
The Huawei Children’s Watch 4X adopts a mecha design style with an integrated strap, water resistance to up to 50 meters, and there’s even a positioning upgrade to five-mode dual-frequency 11-layer AI positioning.
It’s also features a set of cameras, with a 5-megapixel front facing camera and an 8-megapixel side-mounted shooter for outdoor shots. It’s a pretty complete package for what’s still essentially a children’s watch.
As for specifications, the wearable has a built-in 1GB RAM+16GB internal storage, supports magnetic fast charging and features 2 days worth of battery life, though that only applies in typical usage scenarios.
Other than that, the device supports smart rope skipping technology, NFC, Alipay scan code payments, a voice assistant, has passed German Rheinland certification, and is available in either white, blue or pink.
Huawei Children’s Watch 4X is priced at 1398 yuan, which is about $200. Pre-orders for the watch begin on July 30, though it’ll only officially start going on sale on August 19.
