Huawei applies for Huawei MateHome trademark

Last month, Huawei submitted a trademark application for “Huawei MateStation”, which is believed to be a base similar to Samsung DeX Station. Now, it has been revealed that Huawei has applied for the “Huawei MateHome” trademark.

The “Huawei MateHome” trademark was applied for on March 4, 2019, and was authorized in October of the same year. We’ve no idea what exactly the MateHome could be, but we assume it’s a Google Home type of product for smart homes.

Of course, it’s fully possible it’s not that. It could turn out to be a single product, a product line, an application, or maybe even a service. All that we can really derive from the name is that it is related to home.

Huawei has released a number of smart TVs and smart speakers, and it is expected to launch new smart home products soon, we we wouldn’t be surprised to the Huawei MateHome branding tie-in with something in there.
