Huawei and South Korea Sign AI Agreement to Help Korean Startups

    Yonhap News Agency reported that the Huawei South Korean subsidiary recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Korean Artificial Intelligence Association to support the development of Korean artificial intelligence business.

    According to the agreement, Huawei Korea will support Korean companies to explore overseas business opportunities. They will also organize activities and educational projects with the association.

    Huawei Korea has also stated that it will support artificial intelligence-related computing infrastructure and solutions to help promote and develop a healthy artificial intelligence ecosystem in South Korea.

    Huawei, which is currently subject to US sanctions, has been trying to expand its business share in the Korean market by increasing product procurement and investment.

    The Chinese company opened a 5G laboratory in Seoul last year, where local Korean companies and other business partners can test their 5G technology and equipment.
