Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has been propelling several smartphones in more regions out of its home town China. Today, Honor announced the Honor 8S budget smartphone in the United Kingdom. It is the rebranded Honor Play 8 which was launched in China last year.
The Honor 8S smartphone is an expansion to Honor’s budget smartphone lineup in the UK market. It sports a 5.71-inch compact display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. It is a water-drop notch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio screen.

As far as optics are concerned, the budget smartphone equips a single-rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary camera. It has a 5-megapixel camera lens at the front.
Inside, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with up 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable via a microSD card.
The smartphone is backed up by the 3,020mAh battery with standard charging speeds. As it is a rebranded device, Honor tossed it with the old Android 9 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9.0 on top of it.
The smartphone seems obsolete considering its internals, we see no real reason for Honor to propel the smartphone in the UK market. Nonetheless, the device comes in only a single Navy Blue finish and starts at £99.9 in the country.
