Honor has officially launched it’s brand new mid-range device, the Honor 8S 2020, in the UK. It’s essentially the same device as last year’s Honor 8S, though it has slightly more RAM and storage at 3GB+64GB compared to the original version’s 2GB+32GB.
For a quick spec rundown, the Honor 8S 2020 has a 5.71 inches IPS LCD display. For cameras, we’ve got a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. The device runs on a Helio A22 chipset, along with the aforementioned 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Keeping everything running is a 3,020 mAh battery.
Now, the reason why Honor has chosen to refresh the Honor 8S is mainly because the Honor 8S is allowed to run Google Mobile Services. This is because the original Honor 8S had GMS, so therefore any refreshed variants of it will also come with GMS, including this one.
With that covered, the new Honor 8S runs Android 9 Pie with the EMUI 9 skin on top of it. The device is currently up for sale on Honor’s official UK website in a single Navy Blue color option with a decent price tag of just £99.99.
