GPD WIN Max Windows Gaming Handheld Goes on Sale

Those of you who follow the portable gaming hemisphere will have been patiently waiting for the GPD WIN Max to officially go on sale, and I’m happy to announce that it’s finally here!

The GPD WIN Max is the latest portable Windows gaming handheld from GPD. The company has been making these types of handhelds for a while now, and the WIN Max is looking like the best one so far.

These handhelds are essentially fully fledged Windows computers, sized down to the size of a handheld, and the specs reflect this. It features 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, a quad-core Intel i5-1035G7 with Intel Iris Plus graphics and an 8-inch, 1280 x 800 touchscreen.

They’re not necessarily great specifications, but on a display this small they’re good enough to power through most games, and paired with the handheld gaming controls it’s still a good choice. The portable aspect of the handheld is also fantastic.

The official retail price for the Win Max will be $885, though the price on JD Mall is apparently going to be 4999 yuan ($705). This is a much lower price, and it’s quite the bargain all things considered. We’re looking forward to more reviews on it to see how it performs. Until then, stay tuned on Giztop.com for more updates and news.
