Gionee has been setting its footprints in the entry-level market after losing its grasp in the upper budget segment in India. The company unveiled the Gionee Max smartphone with a big battery back in August 2020. Now, Gionee has tossed a successor dubbed Gionee Max Pro with an even bigger battery and better design.
The all-new Gionee Max Pro is priced at ₹6,999(~$95) for the sole 3GB of RAM variant. It will be available to purchase on Flipkart in three color options – Black, Blue, and Red.

The smartphone comes with a polycarbonate back featuring a 6.52-inch LCD display. It is a water-drop notch pane with HD+(1560 x 720) resolution. It has a single 8-megapixel selfie camera placed on the notch and a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera setup at the rear.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Gionee has provided a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It houses a big 6,000mAh battery which is expected to last for up to 2 days.
In terms of connectivity, it has 4G VoLTE support on both the SIMs and also has GPS, Wi-Fi. The smartphone runs on Android operating system with Gionee’s custom skin on top of it. It doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner meaning users have to rely on the Face unlock system.
