Gionee has been on and off in the smartphone market for the last few years. The company is still manufacturing smartphones for a couple of markets including the home-town, China. Recently, the company launched the P15 Pro smartphone in Nigeria and now it has debuted the Gionee M3 in the Chinese market.
Gionee M3 Specifications, Pricing, and Availability
The smartphone comes with a 6.53-inch water-drop notch panel with an HD+ resolution. It has a modern 19:9 aspect ratio but the bezels are quite visible. The device rocks a single 8-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfie shots and has a quadruple rear camera system.
Getting into the details, the rear camera module has a hexagonal design holding the four lenses, a 16-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel lens, a 2MP unit, and an unspecified lens. The camera can shoot 1080p videos and has several effects for capturing portrait shots.
Under the roof, it packs the MediaTek Helio P60 processor bundled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It has a big 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging technology.
As for security, the smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also has support for face unlock via software. Regarding the basics, the device has got you covered for audio with its 3.5mm headphone jack and also has the USB Type-C port.
In terms of pricing, the Gionee M3 starts at CNY 899(~$137) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and CNY 959(~$146) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The maxed out 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant will cost you CNY 1059(~$162).
The smartphone is already on pre-orders and will officially go on sale starting from April 13 in the country.
