LG Velvet was first launched with 5G support and Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, later the company introduced a 4G model with two-year-old Snapdragon 845 SoC, and now it seems like the company is all set for a MediaTek powered Velvet smartphone.
The all-new LG Velvet was seen on the Google Play Console listing revealing a MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset. It seems that LG will be launching different models for different markets. The US got the SD 765G powered Velvet, Europe got the SD 845 powered device, and now it remains to be seen where will this model land.
The other specs of the smartphone seem pretty much the same. It has an FHD+ display with 420ppi. It will probably be the same 6.8-inch water-drop notch AMOLED display with thin rims. The listing confirms a 6GB RAM variant and flows on Android 10 OS.
LG is expected to make the Dimensity 800 powered Velvet official in the coming months. Now the only curious thing to see will be its pricing and availability.
