Chinese smartphone maker Cubot has unveiled a new budget smartphone dubbed Cubot P40. It is an entry-level smartphone available for purchase on AliExpress. Some of its major highlights are MediaTek SoC, Quad cameras, and NFC support.
The Cubot P40 budget handset is a 4G device that embraces a 6.2-inch display with an HD+ resolution. It is a water-drop notch display with minimal rims on the sides. While we look at the top we see the thin bezel but at the bottom, there is a bit thicker chin.

In terms of optics, the smartphone bears a Quad-camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 primary sensor. It is adjoined by a 5-megapixel macro lens, and two 2-megapixel camera lenses. There’s a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
The device boards the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 4,200mAh battery with support for AI power management. There’s no such fast charging but the battery is said to charge quickly. It runs on a tweaked Android 10 out of the box with some UI-based features.
One of the highlighting features of the budget handset is the NFC feature which can be used for one-touch and one-tap payments or for sharing of information. It arrives in Blue, Black, and Green finish and is priced at $89.99 at a 50% sale price. The discounted price is valid till June 7 on AliExpress after the said period it will go on its original $169.99 price tag.
