There are a lot of budget 5G devices that come with a Snapdragon or MediaTek chipsets but there are minimal devices with UNISOC powered 5G chipset. Now, Coolpad has launched its cheapest 5G handset in China and it comes with the UNISOC T7510 chipset.
The budget 5G handset comes with a 6.5-inch LCD display with a modern aspect ratio. It is a water-drop notch that has overall thin bezels except for the slightly protruded chin. The notch holds a 13-megapixel front camera for selfie shots. If we move to the rear, the smartphone has a vertical camera module with three rear cameras. It has a 21-megapixel primary lens, a 5-megapixel depth-sensing camera, and a third 2-megapixel AI lens. There is also an LED flash below the camera setup.
It is powered by the UNISOC T7510 chipset that comes with full-fledged 5G support. It has dual-band 5G mode and comes with 5G NR and 2T4R technology. It is one of the cheapest 5G chipsets and that is what makes the handset offer 5G connectivity at a cheaper price.
The smartphone packs a 4,600mAh battery that is backed by a PC-level liquid cooling tech. The smartphone has 4GB, 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 10 and has CoolPad’s custom skin on top of it.
The CoolPad X10 5G starts at CNY 1,388(~$199) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and CNY 1,588(~$228) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It comes in Blue, Black, and White colorways and will go on pre-orders from August 20 in China.
