Cat has launched a rugged and durable rugged smartphone in the Cat S62 Pro. It comes equipped with a thermal imaging camera, and it features some pretty good specifications and design
The most attractive feature of Cat S62 Pro is naturally the thermal imaging camera. The FLIR Lepton technology used in the camera module promises higher resolution and clearer recognition of hot and cold areas in the range of -20°C to 400°C.
In terms of the durability of mobile phones, the device has passed the MIL-STD-810H military standard , and its dust-proof, anti-fouling, and sand-proof grade reaches IP68. It can fall from steel as high as 1.8 meters, and can hold for 35 minutes at 1.5 meters underwater.
The Cat S62 Pro has a 5.7-inch, 1,080 x 2,160 pixel LCD screen, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It can be expanded via a microSD card, which is good to see.
The device has a 12-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a built-in 4,000 mAh battery, supports fast charging, and is equipped with Android 10 system. It’s priced at US$749, and promises two-year warranty and three-year software updates.
