Asus ROG Phone 3 has been in the leaks from early 2020, it appeared on several listings, its specs were touted, Asus also confirmed a July launch but the exact date was unknown. Now, Asus has finally revealed the launch date of the smartphone, well, not exactly, but does confirm the day. Let’s take a look at all the details.
Asus on its website has set a count down for the #GameChanger smartphone and it confirms the launch to be on July 22. It will start at 11 PM local time and 11 AM NewYork time. The landing page doesn’t tip any actual detail but we do know some of its specs, thanks to listings.
The Asus ROG Phone 3 was recently spotted on GeekBench, TENAA, and some other certification confirming the internal hardware and looks. The ROG Phone 3 will look almost similar to the ROG Phone 2 with some changes on the camera side.
It is confirmed to power the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ octa-core SoC clocked at 3.09Ghz. It will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. Some rumors suggested a whopping 16GB RAM variant but it’s still not confirmed. It is said to house a 5,800mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
It will pack a massive FHD+ display that will look almost similar to the predecessor ROG Phone 2. The display will come with a 144Hz refresh rate and a bit thinner bezels. There are rumors of a 13MP front camera setup for selfies and 64MP triple camera array at the rear.
