Asus ROG Phone 3 that launched last week comes with an insane 144Hz refresh rate panel that offers a smooth experience. It powers the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC with up to 16GB of RAM making things even smoother. Now, a new tip suggests that the smartphone has a hidden setting that makes it go crazy butter-like smooth.
According to XDA Developers, the ROG Phone 3 has a hidden whopping 160Hz refresh rate mode. While checking for the refresh rate switching options and analyzing on how it actually works, an XDA member has found this easter egg that allows users to go beyond the 144Hz refresh rate.
The member has learned that with just a debug command the ROG Phone 3 can go up to an insane 160Hz refresh rate. In order to enable it, users have to set up the Android Debug Bridge on the computer and with the following command ‘adb shell setprop debug.vendor.asus.fps.eng 1’ it should work. To check if it actually works just hop on to Fluid Simulation app and set the refresh rate to 160.
