Apple has scheduled an event on September 15 where it expected to launch the new iPads and the Apple Watches. Earlier, there were claims that Apple will be unveiling two smartwatches the Apple Watch Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE. There were limited details about the Watch SE but now, the popular Apple leaker, Jon Prosser has shared some bits about the smartwatch.
Apple Watch SE is said to come in two sizes, a 40mm and another 44mm which is similar to the current Watch Series 5 and the two-year-old Watch Series 4. Both the sizes will come in two variants – GPS and cellular.

Moreover, the 40mm GPS is codenamed as N140S and the 40mm cellular is codenamed as N140B. The 44mm GPS is codenamed as N142S and the 42mm cellular is codenamed as N142B. Interestingly, the leaker also hints on the design and some of its features.
The Apple Watch SE is said to borrow the design of Apple Watch Series 4 instead of the earlier rumored Series 3 design. If this happens to be true then the new Watch SE could be a no-brainer for many as the design will not just be similar to the watch Series 4 but also to the current Watch Series 5.
Well, even the design will be the same as the Watch Series 4, the Watch SE will miss on a handful of features. The budget Apple Watch or the Watch SE will miss on ECG and always-on display functions. To recall, the Apple Watch Series 4 came with ECG support, and the Watch Series 5 has the always-on display support, the new budget watch will skip both but have Apple’s M9 chip.
The Apple M9 chip is a bit old and was used in the Apple iPhone 6s that allowed it to do several things. If Apple actually uses the chip for the new budget Apple Watch then it could also have the “Hey Siri” functionality.
